Document Description
Beautification project for median in Indio Blvd, between Jefferson Street and I-10 Freeway. Replace existing dirt median and replace with plants, palm trees, public art and river rock. Project also includes installation of tree up lighting, electrical lines, irrigation system and water lines, and a sign. This project will beautify the corridor for all motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists, users on both streets.

The Proposed Use has been environmentally reviewed pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the State CEQA Guidelines (California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Section 15000 et seq., hereafter the “Guidelines”). The City has determined that the Proposed Use is exempt under Class 1 from environmental review pursuant to the guidelines of the California Environmental Quality Act, CEQA Guidelines, Section 15301, Class 1. The proposed improvements will involve construction in the City’s public right-of-way to remove existing dirt medians and replace them with planted materials, trees, and public art.
