Document Description
The project applicant, VOP REF Doyle LLC, is proposing a GPA to change the General Plan Land Use designation from “Public/Quasi-Public” to “Light Industrial” and a Conforming Rezoning to rezone the site to the “Light Industrial” zoning district. The light industrial zoning district is intended for a wide variety of industrial uses and excludes uses with unmitigated hazardous or nuisance effects. Examples of typical uses are warehousing, wholesaling, and light manufacturing. Sites designated light industrial may also contain service establishments that serve only employees of businesses located in the industrial areas. In addition, warehouse retail uses may be allowed where they are compatible with adjacent industrial uses and will not constrain future use of the subject site for industrial purposes. There is no specific development proposed at this time.
