Installation of steel sheet piles for a 114-linear foot Seawall spanning the two properties identified above. Equipment to be used includes a crane stationed on a barge, a transport barge, a vibrating hammer and a hydraulic unit. All material will be transported via the transport barge in water, except for the utility work vehicle that will be parked on the property driveway. The new steel wall will be installed in front of the existing cinder block without excavation or removal of the old wall. The Seawall will be backfilled with 105 yards of light drain rock. This project also involves installing a galvanized c-channel wall cap to deflect incoming wave action reaching behind the wall. The project is expected to take 1.5 months to complete.
