Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. EPIMS-LAN-29915-R5, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Seminole Springs Mobile Home Park, Inc. The overall Project includes the routine maintenance of three distinct areas within the Seminole Springs Mobile Home Park. Maintenance activities include vegetation and sediment removal within Areas A, B, and C. Area A contains the reservoir, which is a sediment-filled area that has a temporary channel and spoils berm to direct flows away from an earthen dam on the southern side. Area B contains the outlet creek, which is also known as La Sierra Creek. Area C contains a sediment basin that eventually outlets into La Sierra Creek. In total, there will be 2.45 acres of non-natives species removal, trimming, or thinning; 0.95 acres of dead wood/native species dead biomass removal; 0.30 acres of native vegetation subject to limbing up, trimming down, or thinning; 0.19 acres of oak tree woodland trimming; and 0.04 acres of sediment removal.

Reasons for Exemption
Class 1 addresses operation, maintenance, repair, or minor alteration of existing facilities or topographical features. Included in this exemption are existing reservoirs, irrigation channels, dams, and debris basins. The removal of vegetation and sediment buildup will not expand the use of the existing drainage features. Class 4 Minor Alteration of Land addresses minor public and/or private alterations in the condition of land, water, and vegetation which do not involve the removal of healthy mature trees.
