The City and County of San Francisco decided to carry out or approve the project on August 23, 2023, when the SFMTA Street Use, Development, and Signals Team Manager issued a directive approving the project. The date of approval action was posted on the San Francisco Planning Department's website on August 30, 2023. The project was officially approved on October 2, 2023, when no appeal of the statutory exemption was filed during the 30-day appeal period. A copy of the documents may be examined at the Planning Department, 49 South Van Ness Avenue, Suite 1400, San Francisco, CA, 94103 in file no. 2023-007443ENV. This project in its approved form has been determined to be exempt from environmental review because it meets the eligibility criteria and definition of the above-stated statutory exemption.
