Document Description
The Project consists of installing 6 new 1.5” HDE conduits via boring and Nine 3x5 vaults along a 5,400ft path from Juvenile Justice Campus (JJC) to American and Golden State Ave. This path crosses Highway 99 at Peach Ave. This project will provide Dark Fiber back to our Pontiac Datacenter increasing Network speeds to 100 gigs. This dark fiber can be utilized for Fresno Sheriff’s Office, Fresno Superior Courts, Fresno County Public Works, Fresno County office of Education, and other entities that provide services at the JJC campus. The existing conduits for JJC will be extended East to Highway 99, Traverse under the freeway at Peach Ave, then travel north along Peach Ave to Golden state and American Ave. There will be nine new 3x5 vaults spaced approximately 600’ apart. All conduits will be at least 4’ below ground. A single cable of 288 strands will be installed along the route to provide connectivity.
