Document Description
The El Centro Generating Station’s renewed NPDES permit to discharge its cooling tower effluent to surface waters now contains more stringent limitations for the concentration of pollutants that are discharged in its effluent stream. To meet compliance, the ECGS must eliminate discharge to surface waters by utilizing a wastewater treatment system. The treatment system project consists of water softening, process water storage, membrane filtration, and evaporation ponds.
