The District proposes to demolish and replace the existing Herbert Hoover Elementary School (Hoover ES) campus to improve density and seismic safety and increase the safe use of adjacent athletic fields (the Proposed Project). The Proposed Project site is located on a portion of a 35.64-acre parcel at 445 East Charleston Road in the City of Palo Alto in Santa Clara County, California. The demolition and replacement would address the most critical needs at Hoover ES through the reconfiguration of the campus and construction of new buildings. The Proposed Project is required to undergo an environmental review pursuant to CEQA.
