Document Description
Approval of Permit No. 19792, under California Code of Regulations, Title 23, Article 3, Section 6, for work within an adopted plan of flood control: This project modifies an irrigation channel with a pump station west of Tule Canal. The station will have a deep wet well (14-foot by 16-foot concrete, 16 feet deep) and two 14-inch diameter cone screens on a concrete pad (within a 20 feet deep sheet pile enclosure). Pipes (36 inch) connect the screens to the pump station and a 48-inch HDPE pipe (3,300 feet) carries water to a revamped holding reservoir north of the station. The reservoir will have a new water control structure for drainage back to Tule Canal, rock slope protection, and future pipe expansion capabilities. The project also includes stability testing (boreholes), safe access (stairs and railings), and removal of abandoned wood piers.
