Document Description
The Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District adopted the Sacramento Regional 2015 8-Hour Ozone Attainment and Reasonable Further Progress (RFP) Plan (Plan), which demonstrates attainment of the 2015 federal health standard, known as the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS), for ozone of 70 parts per billion. This Plan meets federal Clean Air Act (CAA) Section 110 requirements for state implementation plans (SIPs), and Sections 172, 176, 181, and 182, and 40 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 51 Subpart CC planning requirements for the “Severe” classification. This Plan demonstrates that the SFNA will meet the 2015 ozone NAAQS by the end of 2032.

The adoption of the Sacramento Regional 2015 8-Hour Ozone Attainment and Reasonable Further Progress Plan is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as an action by a regulatory agency for the protection of the environment (Class 8 Categorical Exemption, Section 15308, State CEQA Guidelines) and because it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the activity in question may have a significant adverse effect on the environment (Section 15061(b)(3), State CEQA Guidelines).
