Document Description
Perform exploratory boring adjacent to the parking lot at Federation Grove in Humboldt Redwoods State Park to establish soil conditions for the purpose of expanding the existing parking lot. Work will use a truck-mounted drill, equipped with hollow-stem augers and/or solid stem rotary drilling equipment to drill up to four (4) exploratory borings in the vicinity of the existing parking lot pavement. Borings will range up to 40-ft in depth with representative soil samples recorded for future analysis. Borings will be back filled with neat cement grout and excess drill fluids and cuttings from the mud-rotary boring (if used) will be contained in 55-gallon drums and disposed of at a licensed disposal facility.
