Document Description
The project is limited to one encroachment for the revegetation of approximately 150-linearfeet of streambank and riparian corridor. As documented in the December 13, 2022, Notice of Violation, unauthorized habitat alteration (i.e. vegetation disturbance and/or removal in the riparian zone) occurred at the project location, in violation of FGC 1602; the proposed project shall be implemented to resolve the violation. Work for the project will include: installation of a border constructed of redwood split rails along the drainage easement to serve a visual boundary demarcating a “no-disturbance” buffer; retention and cultivation of existing native vegetation; management and suppression of Himalayan blackberry; and planting of new, native vegetation in accordance with the proposed planting palette submitted in the Notification. The Permittee shall be responsible for the successful establishment of native vegetation and conducting adaptive management as necessary to achieve a robust and enduring riparian buffer zone; annual monitoring and status reports shall be submitted for CDFW review.
