Document Description
The Project will install large wood features at approximately 35 sites along Pescadero Creek through unanchored direct felling methods. Approximately 125 trees adjacent to the stream will be used to construct large wood features and will be installed using hand tools. No heavy equipment will operate in the stream channel. The Project is intended to enhance approximately 3.2 kilometers of habitat for CCC coho salmon and CCC steelhead by creating high- and low-flow velocity refuge, sorting and storing sediment, providing cool cover and habitat complexity, and creating new pool habitat.
