Document Description
The purpose of the Project is to arrest bank erosion along a section of the Upper Truckee River in the Lake Tahoe Golf Course to protect critical infrastructure, including irrigation lines and abutments of a golf cart bridge. Significant bank erosion occurred during high flows in the winter of 2023, which has resulted in irrigation lines being exposed to flows. Bank stabilization will be accomplished by driving steel pilings in the Upper Truckee River approximately 10 feet from the current streambank and backfilling the area between the pilings and streambank with woody debris.
