Document Description
The West Freeway Sign (#122) project consists of the installation of one new 75' high sign post with two 20'x60' LED commercial advertisement displays in the SDSU Parking 15 surface lot visible to both eastbound and westbound motorists of the Interstate 8 freeway. The project also includes refurbishment of the existing East Freeway Sign (#121), located north of Canyon Crest Drive in the northwest corner of the Parking 16 surface lot.

This project is eligible for the Class 11 categorical exemption (Accessory Structures). It is a placement of on-premise signs accessory to the existing campus facilities. The project is not subject to any of the Section 15300.2 exceptions to the categorical exemptions, as the project would not damage scenic resources within a scenic highway corridor; the project would not damage historic resources; the project site is not included on any list of hazardous sites; there is no reasonable possibility of a significant impact to the environment; and no significant cumulative impacts will result from the project.
