Document Description
Contra Costa County has adopted an updated General Plan and Climate Action and Adaptation Plan. The 2045 General Plan is a long-range planning document containing goals, policies, and actions that will guide County decision-making related to land use and infrastructure over the next 20 years. The 2045 General Plan plans for 23,200 new residential units, 1.2 million square feet of new commercial and office space, and 5 million square feet of new industrial space. The Climate Action and Adaptation Plan contains strategies to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions consistent with State goals, adapt to a changing climate, and mitigate the GHG emissions resulting from implementation of the General Plan.
