Document Description
The project is limited to fire fuel abatement work within the Preserve intended to address the Placer County Hazardous Vegetation Abatement Ordinance (Placer County Ordinance 6015-B), and the determination by South Placer Fire Department Division Chief/Fire Marshall Jeff Ingolia that extremely hazardous fire conditions exist in the Preserve. The proposed activities would be limited to clearing low stature vegetation (i.e., weeds, shrubs, and grasses) with hand tools, trimming/thinning of shrubs and trees to raise the canopy and eliminate ground cover/brush/ladder fuels within the drip lines, and removal of dead, diseased, and/or non-native trees.
