Document Description
The Santa Cruz Living Shoreline Feasibility Study is a planning project that will assess the feasibility of using living shorelines, nature-based solutions, and sand management techniques to address coastal hazards and advance climate adaptation planning along 3.2 miles of the Santa Cruz coastline, from Natural Bridges State Beach east to Main Beach and the San Lorenzo River. This project includes completion of a feasibility study, development of conceptual level plans for priority projects, and community engagement throughout these efforts. Using the results of the feasibility study, priority projects will be selected for conceptual level design plans, and ecological monitoring markers and methods will be identified.
