Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
15061 Common Sense Exemption
Reasons for Exemption
Reasons why project is exempt: The City of San Diego determined that the project would qualify to be exempt from CEQA pursuant to Section 15061 (b)(3). The activity (easement vacation) to remove an access easement that is no longer needed to access the City reservoir and pipeline is common sense exemption (Section 15061 (b)(3)) that CEQA applies only to projects which have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment. The project does not propose any changes to the physical environment as it is only a removal of an easement where a public roadway has already been extended and no physical change would result. No development is Revised May 2018
