The project will focus on roadside shaded fuels reduction. The area treated will be alongside 100 ft. on each side of the road, covering nearly 83 acres. The treatments included in this project are non invasive and consist of minor landscape and vegetation alternations. Treatments will consist of removal and reduction of ladder and surface fuels by chipping 14' and under, limbing, and hand piling. Reduced vegetation cover will reduce ladder fuels, assisting with fire suppression efforts, reduce severity of catastrophic fires, and assist in evacuation of residential areas if threatened.
