The southern 450 feet of fiber optic line would be installed approximately four feet deep; the northern 250 feet at approximately seven feet deep. Once the new fiber optic line is in place, the bore pits would be backfilled. The purpose of the project is to provide reliable utility services to AT&T customers. Traffic control would be performed during the proposed work. Caltrans would issue an encroachment permit to allow for the proposed work to occur within State right-of-way.
