Document Description
This proposal would install two 360,000 gallon water tanks with associated water lines and improvements located adjacent to the existing water tanks and water treatment facility on the cement plant property. The tanks would be utilized for water storage by the Davenport County Sanitation District, which provides sanitary waste treatment and potable water for the residents of Davenport. No increase in the number of service connections would result from the proposed project. The subject property is located within the coastal zone and the proposed work requires a Coastal Development Permit. The proposed development is an allowed public facilities use and would be located in an existing disturbed area on the cement plant property. The tanks would be located adjacent to existing public facilities and the tanks would be painted a muted natural tone and would not result in impacts to visual resources in the vicinity.
