The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes an emergency bridge repair for Garwood Bridge (Bridge No. 29-0050) on State Route 4 at postmile 14.15 in San Joaquin County. A fire incident under the bridge has affected the steel members of the structure. The project scope includes clearing of waste, cleaning, heat straightening, replacement, sanding, and painting of girders and trusses, and replacing rock slope protection set in concrete. The purpose of the project is to address the damages caused by a fire under Garwood Bridge.
