A Merced Irrigation District canal was breached and led to flooded field adjacent to the State Right of Way. Water and sediment crossed under the right-of-fencing and inundated the southbound lanes. The project will back fill the exposed utilities, remove all damaged vegetation, and place permanent erosion control. The purpose of the project is to address the damages caused by a canal breach. The need of this project is to prevent and mitigate the loss or impairment of life, property, or essential public services.
