Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes a project for the emergency repair of a sinkhole that developed in the median on State Route 99 at postmile R11.34, in Stanislaus County. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, slurry the cavity near the drainage inlet, repair the damaged shoulder, restore the median and shoulder from pits, hot mix asphalt paving, shoulder backing, and traffic striping. All work will be conducted in Caltrans Right of Way. The purpose of this project is to protect the facilities and prevent failure to pavement where it becomes impassable to traveling public. The need for this project is to prevent and mitigate the loss or impairment of life, property, or essential public service.
