This project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) under Class 1 (Existing Facilities) of the CEQA Guidelines, California Code of Regulations, Division 6, Title 14, Chapter 3, because it has no potential to have a significant effect on the environment. Class 1 exempts projects involving negligible or no expansion of use including but not limited to repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features. The Project is limited to the increase in enrollment of an existing high school. There will not be a significant increase in vehicle trips associated with the increase ln enrollment.
