Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-VEN-40148-R5, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Richard Brown. The Project is limited to the diversion of water via a pump and hose from Turner Ditch, a channel along the Santa Clara River which provides water to the surrounding agricultural areas. Channel maintenance, excavation, and vegetation removal are not included as part of the Project. The pump operates year-round and collects approximately 380 gallons per minute (18-acre-feet per year). The pump utilizes a fish screen at its inlet to prevent fish from entering the hose. The pump may become inoperable during times of extreme drought when the channel is absent of water. Any activities related to maintaining the hose and pump will be performed outside of the channel.
