Document Description
The project is limited to one encroachment for the removal and management of invasive vegetation from Wilson Creek, with the goal of improving hydraulic function in the stream. Currently, portions of Wilson Creek’s channel are partially or completely obstructed by invasive Himalayan blackberry (Rubus armeniacus). The Permittee shall remove aboveground blackberry vegetation using mechanized equipment in late summer (after nesting bird season) through early winter (before inundation occurs); cane fragments shall be removed from the site and appropriately destroyed.

The project consists of minor private alterations in the condition of land, water, and/or vegetation which do not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees. There would be no significant adverse impact on endangered, threatened, or rare species or their habitat pursuant to §15065. There are no hazardous materials at or around the project site that may be disturbed or removed. The project will not result in impacts that are significant when viewed in connection with the effects of past projects, the effects of other current projects, and the effects of probable future projects.
