NCRO’s Geology and Groundwater Investigations’ (GGI) Professional Geologist (PG) or Geologist-In-Training (GIT) will oversee a contractor in the installation of three to five multi-completion groundwater monitoring wells near the City of Tracy. Two deep well (approx. 1,000 feet) and three shallow wells. The sub-surface data gathered will contribute information for the Tracy Subbasin to meet the objectives for the Sustainable Grounwater Act (SGMA).

Class 6 exempts actions for data collection and resource evaluation which do not result in significant impacts to an environmental resource. The purpose of the geological exploration is to provide sufficient geotechnical and geological information to develop an understanding of the subsurface sediment architecture so that groundwater recharge pilot testing can be planned and implemented.
