Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement, No. EPIMS-ORA-38545-R5, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Southern California Edison (SCE) as represented by Hazem Gabr. The project is limited to the removal and replacement of three (3) single wooden distribution poles (Poles 4633115E, 4633116E, and 4639877E) and the removal and replacement of an anchor at Poles 4633116E and 4639877E. New wood Poles 4633115E and 4633116E will be set in the same hole as the existing poles once the existing poles are removed. The existing poles will be cut into manageable lengths, and the old pole butts removed from the ground before being carried off site for disposal at an approved facility. Before the new poles are set, a plastic sonotube that is 30 inches wide will be set in the hole. The sonotube will be backfilled with crushed rock and the last 2 feet will be topped off with native fill. The space between the sonotube and the ground will be backfilled with native fill. New poles will then be set by crane or helicopter into the sonotube and conductor wires will be attached to the new poles. An existing anchor at Pole 4633116E will also be replaced, requiring excavation of the old anchor and placement of a new anchor at the same location. Pole 4639877E will be set by helicopter within five feet of its current location. A plastic sonotube will be utilized for this pole replacement as well. Once set, the conductor wires will be transferred to the new pole from the old pole, which will be cut into manageable lengths and removed from the site for disposal at an approved facility. The existing anchor approximately 32 feet southeast of Pole 4639877E will also be replaced.
