The proposed project is a request for a Use Permit to construct a solid-redwood fence 41-feet in length, 6’-feet in height within the front yard setback, positioned along the property line, approximately 31-ft from the road centerline of Dry Creek Rd, on a 0.44-acre residential parcel. The proposed use is consistent with the Sonoma County General Plan and Sonoma County Zoning Code. The project parcel is within the Rural Residential land use designation in the Sonoma County General Plan, which encourages residential uses compatible with the rural areas of Sonoma County. The project site is undeveloped with an existing fence. The AR (Agriculture and Residential District) Zoning District allows for fences above 3 feet in height within front-yard setback areas with a Use Permit (Zoning Code Section 26-88-030(a)).
