Document Description
Remove a total of four (4) existing wood framed vault toilets, one (1) each at San Gregorio State Beach and Pomponio State Beach (1), and two (2) at Pescadero State Beach; and a total of four (4) chemical toilets, one (1) each at Burleigh H. Murray Ranch Park Property, Cowell Ranch, Bean Hollow State Beach, and Año Nuevo State Park and install new single, or double vault toilets to provide accessible restroom and day use facilities for Parks visitors. Work will include emptying all existing vaults prior to removal and dispose of effluent off-site; utilizing excavations from existing vault removals for new vaults; disposal off-site of all removed existing concrete, asphalt, and/or spoils; and installation of either a single or double precast concrete vault toilets at all locations. At each location, additional work will be as follows: At Burleigh H. Murray: • Excavate to pour a concrete walkway and a concrete ADA parking stall; • Install a compacted aggregate transition to existing road; • Install a 12-in deep drainage swale and 38 ft long trench for drainage; • Install two (2) ADA signs, restripe for parking stalls and install wheel stops. At Cowell Ranch: • Excavate to pour a concrete apron around the new vault toilet, a concrete ADA parking stall, concrete curbing and a compacted aggregate transition to the existing road; • Excavate a trench and install an aggregate base bench for drainage; and • Install two (2) ADA signs on posts, stripe parking stalls and install wheel stops. At San Gregorio State Beach: • Install concrete curbing, a 2-car ADA concrete parking stall, a concrete walk, concrete access road and road transition and asphalt to patch existing disturbed areas; • Excavate a 1 ft x 1 ft x 12 ft long trench to install a new drain; • Install 3375 square feet of asphalt and 800 square feet of rock slope protection; • Install a picnic shade structure, two (2) concrete picnic tables, wood mulch and a vehicle gate; and • Install four (4) ADA signs on posts, stripe parking stalls and install wheel stops. At Pomponio State Beach: • Construct a concrete parking slab, a concrete walkway and patch the parking lot where needed; • Excavate for a drainage swale; • Install a display wooden display case, seven (7) ADA concrete picnic tables, one (1) barbecue, three (3) trash and recycle containers and relocate the existing self-pay station; • Install a 12-ft wide x 4-ft tall metal pipe vehicle gate; and • Install four (4) ADA signs, stripe parking stalls and install wheel stops. At Pescadero North: • Install concrete curbing, accessible concrete parking, of concrete walkways, a concrete ramp and asphalt to patch areas of the parking lot that were disturbed; and • Install two (2) ADA signs on posts, stripe parking stalls and install wheel stops. At Pescadero Central: • Pour a concrete ADA parking stall, a concrete walkway, and asphalt to patch the parking lot where needed; and • Install two (2) ADA signs on posts and one (1) set of trash & recycle containers, stripe parking stalls and install wheel stops. At Bean Hollow: • Pour an accessible concrete parking space, a concrete walkway from the parking lot to the new vault toilet a concrete ramp for accessibility, and asphalt to patch the parking lot where needed; • Install a concrete picnic table pad and a drainage swale; • Install a wooden display case and 900 sq. ft. of Jute mat at grade and hydroseed; and • Install two (2) ADA signs, stripe parking stalls and install wheel stops. At Año Nuevo: • Construct 20 sq. ft. of curbed concrete ramp; • Pour a 306 sq. ft. concrete accessible parking space; • Pour an ADA compliant concrete walkway, a concrete apron around the vault toilet, and 20 ft. of concrete curb; and • Install two (2) ADA signs, stripe parking stalls and install wheel stops.
