Document Description
Jordan Outreach Ministries is expanding its ministry outreach to impoverished families by establishing an Outreach Training Center to teach and train church leaders, pastors, laymen, and youth to reach their communities and the poor. The Outreach Training Center is patterned after Fred Jordan Missions’ Center for Evangelism and Outreach, which has been in operation since 1944.
The Outreach Training Center will be a place for Christians to fulfill their God-given mission to “go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). Participants will learn how to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others and show God’s love by meeting the needs of the poor through compassion and mercy ministries. They will work alongside staff and volunteers, attend Bible studies and Chapel services, help prepare food for distribution and events, and go out to the streets, trailer parks, projects, and neighborhoods to put what they have learned into practice.
Jordan Outreach Ministries has been sharing God’s love with impoverished families and children throughout the Coachella Valley and Riverside County since 1997. We provide them with food, drinks, shoes, clothes, household goods, baby products, hygiene items, and other items through holiday outreaches and events.
Meeting the basic needs among some of the most impoverished families and individuals in the Coachella Valley and throughout Riverside county has been accomplished with the generous support of individuals, churches, corporations, and other caring partners. Some of our partners include Footlocker, Disney, Feed the Children, and Southwest Church.
Our desire to share God’s love with the lost, hurting, and hopeless that we minister to through the Outreach Training Center will be accomplished by teaching and training others to share the gospel one on one, in small groups, and during large outreaches.
Jordan Outreach Ministries is called to declare and demonstrate the love of Jesus by teaching God’s Word and meeting the needs of the poor. Jordan Outreach Ministries’ 24-year track record and the 77 years of knowledge and experience of Fred Jordan Missions Los Angeles make us uniquely qualified to train Christians to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and help meet the spiritual and physical needs of the poor in communities throughout the Coachella Valley, Riverside County, and beyond.
In 2020, our current distribution center supplied almost 3,000,000 pounds of food to impoverished children and families within the Coachella Valley. We accomplished this through conducting outreaches, drive-through food giveaways, and serving as a distribution center to provide bulk food and supplies to other churches, ministries, and non-profits. As the needs continue rising in the Coachella Valley, Riverside County, and beyond, our new distribution center will allow us to meet these fast-growing needs.
