Document Description
Napa County Regional Park and Open Space Planning District, with support from the California State Parks Trail Crew will replace the superstructure of the pedestrian bridge across Mill Creek that provides access to the mill in Bale Grist Mill State Historic Park to allow park visitors continued access to the historic mill. The Bale Grist Mill will be closed during construction with advanced notification to State Parks and signage will be posted at all entry points. Work will: •As necessary, prune vegetation and trim trees to provide access to the bridge; •Remove an existing information kiosk and park bench and reinstall once work is completed; •Install a drop cloth below the work area to prevent sawdust and other work materials from entering thewaterway; •Remove the decaying stringers and reuse the existing substructure as is; and •Install new stringers and bridge decking.
