Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), using state funds proposes to repair culverts at 3 locations along State Route (SR) 299 in Shasta County at post miles 41.71, 41.74, 42.00. Culverts will be repaired using UV Cured non-styrene(CIPP) and Fold and Form (Polyvinylchloride-type) liners. Inlets will be repaired or replaced with new standard inlets. Need: The culverts have reached the end of the service life. The culverts are heavily corroded and have holes or missing sections in the invert. The inlet treatments are non-standard and are within the clear recovery zone and need to be replaced. Purpose: This project will protect the highway from damage by restoring the drainage systems and reducing maintenance requirements.
