Document Description
The Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District proposes to restore and repair the Line K flood control channel and outfall structure in the vicinity of Roberts Ave. in the City of Fremont, Alameda County. The sections to be repaired include a 30ft. section located on the north bank downstream of an existing concrete drop structure, a 70 ft. section along the north bank downstream of the second concrete drop structure, and a 5ft. section on either side of an existing outfall. The eroded areas will be backfilled with approximately 215 cubic yards (CY) of dirt, compacted, and reinforced. Approximately 90 CY of rock slope protection (RSP) will be placed along the toe of the slope extending 3ft. up the bank. The concrete outfall structure and a segment of pipe will be removed and replaced with a concrete collar, and approximately 20 CY of RSP will be placed from beyond the toe of the slope extending to the invert of the pipe. All disturbed areas will be restored by hydroseeding with a local seed mix. All work will be performed within the District property. The purpose of the project is to restore and protect the eroded channel banks and improve flood control protection to the surrounding community.
