Reasons for Exemption
The proposed project consists of installing three monitoring wells for the purpose of basic data collection, research, experimental management, and resource evaluation activities which do not result in a serious or major disturbance to an environmental resource. Although the locations are not yet determined for Locations 1 and 2, it is the MWA’s intent to purchase property to install the new wells on disturbed land and/or the wells have a small footprint that would not cause a major disturbance to environmental resources.
