Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), using State funds only, is proposing to restore State Route 32 in Tehama County from PM 20.00 to R24.876 to a condition that requires minimal maintenance and extends the life of the pavement. This Highway Maintenance (HM) project would apply a 0.10’ overlay with isolated digouts over approximately 5 miles on State Route 32 in Tehama County (PM 20.00/R24.876). Pavement mill and fill will occur at bridge approaches and begin and end conforms. Guardrail will be reconstructed except at bridge approaches and shoulders will be backed to standard. All work will be done within existing hinge points. No work will be performed on bridge decks. There will be no increase in disturbed soil area (DSA) or impervious surface. Removal of thermoplastic pavement markings will be required. This project will be constructed in 2024 and will take approximately 25 working days.

Caltrans has determined that this project would have negligible or no expansion of existing or former use, and would have no significant effect on the environment.
