Document Description
DWR and Contractor will replace approx. 12 feet of 12-inch pipe within the limits of the existing butterfly valve vault. The main line will be shut down and the vault will be dewatered so that the pipe can be removed. The new fittings will then be welded to the existing pipe. Once the 12-inch bypass line is inspected and commissioned, the main line will be brought back online. All work, access, and staging is within the existing North Park vault and disturbed areas within existing DWR right-of-way.

The State Water Project provides significant and critical services to many Californians. This project is exempt because it involves routine maintenance activities. This project will not result in impacts to special status species or habitat. The Categorical Exemption Class 1 will be used for CEQA compliance as this activity will be implemented without any significant environmental impacts.
