Other Information
The Water Main Replacement Project proposes to install a new water main pipe to replace a segment of an existing water main. The Project will replace approximately 200 feet of existing16-inch diameter water main. The replacement water main will be installed between 5-15 feet offset and parallel to the existing main to reduce the amount of time the main is out of service. The new pipe will be 16-inch diameter ductile iron and will connect to the existing cast-iron water main on each end. The replacement water main would have between approximately 6.5 to 13 feet of clearance to the existing ground surface. The installation of new pipe and removal of existing pipe would require trenching in Fresno River which will require permits from multiple permitting agencies.
