Document Description
An approximately 15 feet wide by 25 feet long by 10 feet deep washout occurred in the Department of Water Resources (DWR) right-of-way when Westlands Water District (WWD) released too much water in the area. WWD will use an above ground sensor to locate a buried high pressure water line, but they do not have to make any repairs. After WWD marks an avoidance buffer on the ground surface around the water line, DWR’s San Luis Field Division will repair the area by backfilling it with approximately 139 cubic yards of material. The backfilled material will be compacted and shaped to the original contours.
