Document Description
PG&E needs to replace an existing, damaged power pole located near the California Aqueduct in the Department of Water Resources’ (DWR) right of way. To do so, an approximately 7.5 feet deep hole will be dug within a five-foot radius of the existing pole. The hole will be dug no more than five feet away from the existing pole and will remain in the existing power line alignment. A new pole will then be installed in the hole and the existing power line cables will be attached to this new pole. Once the cables are attached to the new pole, they will be detached from the damaged pole and the damaged pole will be removed. The hole left by the removed pole will be backfilled and compacted. Vehicles and equipment will access the site from existing roads and will stage on an existing dirt road adjacent to the DWR right of way.
