Document Description
During the 2022-2023 winter storms, an approximately 25-foot-wide road embankment along the south side of Patterson Pass Road at Mile Marker 6.25 eroded and failed. Temporary plastic liners were installed to prevent further erosion, and sand ballast bags kept it in place. The proposed emergency repair consists of excavating approximately 200 cubic yards of soil, installing rock slope protection (RSP) fabric, and placing approximately 660 cubic yards of ¼ ton RSP and Class 1 backing materials in the eroded area. The bank shoulder area will be restored to match both of the existing sides and the road structural section will be restored with asphalt concrete.
