Description of Nature, Purpose, and Beneficiaries of Project:
Nature. On March 16, 2023, the Board of Education (“Board”) for the San Luis Coastal School District (“District”) approved the Bishop’s Peak Elementary School Renovation project (“Project”).
Purpose. The purpose of this Project is to replace four existing portable classrooms and one existing portable restroom building with four new classroom modulars, and a new modular restroom building, and to modernize the existing kindergarten wing, re-roof and repair the main walkway canopy, perform minor exterior finish repair and replacement, install field renovations, and to perform ADA site upgrades as required by the Division of State Architect. The four existing portable classrooms will be temporarily relocated to the black-top to house students during construction and subsequently removed. An additional portable will also be removed and not replaced.
Beneficiaries. The primary beneficiaries of the Project are the District’s students. The Project will allow the District to provide high quality, energy-efficient, safe, and sustainable facilities at the Bishop’s Peak Elementary School.
