Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-SCL-33074-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to VA Palo Alto Health Care System (Permittee), as represented by Michael Yeihey.
The Project includes an outfall repair and bank stabilization that is a continuation of work that had occurred under a Notify of Emergency Work (EPIMS-SCL-23322-R3). The portion of the Project, covered under the Streambed Alteration Agreement, is limited to removal of a degraded section of outfall pipe and installation of bank stabilization/energy dissipater along the creek bank. The exposed degraded section of the existing 15-inch culvert pipe will be removed. The flap gate will be removed and reinstalled, or replaced with a duckbill valve or equivalent backflow valve to prevent backflow through the culvert. A bank stabilization crib wall will be installed beneath the culver. Between the crib wall timbers, 9-inch rock will be added, and six boulders of 18-inch to 24-inch diameter will be placed at the base of the crib wall.
