The project will replace the existing one-span, 9-foot-long dual-track timber stringer trestle ballast deck bridge at Milepost 217.72. A new 65-foot-long, 48-inch-diameter smooth steel pipe culvert, depressed 1-foot below grade, and lined through the existing structures opening will be installed within the channel of a small intermittent unnamed tributary to the Truckee River.
