Document Description
The purpose of the project is to conduct a geotechnical investigation to support the future design and construction of two to three bridges to replace the existing northbound and southbound bridges crossing Eureka Slough. A staged investigation would occur in the following order: 1) geophysical surveys, 2) geotechnical drilling, and 3) compressional and shear wave suspension logging. The Project will implement the Standard Measures and Best Management Practices identified in the Project’s Natural Environmental Study

The project is a geotechnical exploration for a future, separate bridge replacement project. There would be no significant adverse impact on endangered, threatened, or rare species or their habitat pursuant to §15065. There are no known hazardous materials at or around the project site that may be disturbed or removed. The project will not result in impacts that are significant when viewed in connection with the effects of past projects, the effects of other current projects, and the effects of probable future projects.
