Document Description
Due to an increase in visitation as well as inadequate safe parking for visitors to recreate at El Matador Beach, within Robert H. Meyer Memorial State Beach, CDPR is proposing improvements to the pocket beach including expanding the amount of parking spaces by redesigning the parking lot. The parking lot redesign would convey stormwater off site in order to minimize the erosion of trails and other areas prone to erosion damage within the park. In addition, electric vehicle charging stations will be installed, concrete sidewalks, picnic/gathering areas, vault restrooms, trail and stair repairs and other minor site improvements. Further detail regarding the work proposed as well as measures to be implemented to avoid impact to the environment may be obtained by submitting a request to the project Environmental Coordinator listed below.
