Reasons for Exemption
The City of Hanford determined the project to be exempt from environmental review pursuant to Section 15268 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines. A temporary use permit provides a mechanism for administrative review and determination for proposed and qualifying short-term uses and activities. The project consists of allowing a fireworks stand to be located on the site for a period of four days (July 1-4, 2023), for the selling of legal fireworks to the public.
