Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes maintenance repairs on eight bridges at various locations on Interstate (I) 5 and State Route (SR) 4, in San Joaquin County. The scope of work at each bridge includes joint seal replacement, bridge deck concrete overlay, approach slab repairs, cutting a horizontal gap at the hinge seat to allow for thermal movement, and/or guardrail repairs. All work will occur within Caltrans Right of Way. The purpose of this project is to provide preventative maintenance to deteriorating sections of these bridges. The project is needed to minimize future rehabilitation needs and maintain the bridge functionality.
